It looks like some new hip hop beef is boiling between two up and coming lyricists. Machine Gun Kelly apparently had some issues with a particular verse spit by Yelawolf as part of the Shady 2.0 Cypher at the BET Awards. ” Plenty of white boys to pick from this year/But before you pick a pepper you better pick up your heater.” Yela said that the line had nothing to do with MGK, but if Kelly is looking for battle, he can find it with Yelawolf. “He’s being sensitive. He thinks I’m talking about him [when I'm not],” he explained. “The best thing that he could do is if he has a problem or if he has something he needs to say to me, just say my name, dog. This is Hip Hop, if you’ve got something you want to rap about, just rap about it. So I have always been a huge battle rap fan. You can probably tell by my lyrical content in my music. I actually started my career battle rapping so I will always have love for that art. I have been following The URL movement which is based out of the East coast. I am apart of the grind time movement that started based in FL but has expanded all over. And been following The KOTD movement in Canada. These are the 3 top written battle leagues, where you can find hot battles on youtube. Most recently I was able to watch one of the best battles of the year. Where URL’s DNA faced off against Grind Times DIZASTER on neutral ground in Canada at KOTD. I liked this battle because you got to see 2 different styles go head to head. This Battle was almots 1 hr long. A great display of written and freestyle battle schemes. So I got a little time to relax but not much. The week started off early in the Music Empire office working with my partners on a plan for Dec & Jan activity. This planning is for events, also the artist that have been signed to the label, New music video shoots, TV shows, marketing, ect. After coming up with some great plans for the up and coming months. I got the call from Strange Music that they needed a little back up promo for the up coming Tech N9ne shows in Denver, so I got on that next. After streaming some extra promo on line and in the streets, the day had finally come. FRIDAY! The beginning of my weekend. With no performances or events our label had put together I was free to do whatever. I decided to head out to The first of two Tech N9ne shows in Denver at the Summit Music hall. It was a great show, Close to selling out. Tech n9ne did a special set for his fans that night that no one has ever seen or will ever see again. That brother is all about his fans. After catching up with Tech and the Strange Crew i headed back to my home town Colorado Springs on Saturday. Saturday was relaxing. Got to catch the UFC fights. Dosantos Vs Valsquez. Good fight but too fast for my taste. lol. And Then I watched The Pacquiou fight shortly there after, I wasn’t to impressed with that one either. Slow and it was a decision that could have went both ways “No Homo”. But big shot out to Colorado’s own Alvarado for the W! Sunday i Pulled the Range Rover out the Garage washed it and rolled around bumpen my new shit, Did some laundry, watched some football, did some writing, had dinner with family and went to see that new movie “Immortals” by the way that movie is bonkers! & Could one of the Gods on Mount Olympus be black or a little brown? lol. Don’t sleep on the new Konan movie either! Now its monday & I’m am back on the Grind. Denver bound tomorrow. Here is a flier for our next event this Friday Nov 18th in Colorado Springs.
